Best advice is to read the manual from beginning to end, watch the Canyon YouTube videos, and just trust the process. I also suggest getting a quality torque wrench and using it instead of the supplied assembly tools, and also use it to check all the bolts. I found huge variations and even discovered the derailleur hanger was loose.
Assembly is a little harder than Ikea, but people even pay to get those pieces assembled, so if you don’t feel comfortable, then get a bike mechanic to do the work.
Push it further. Same thing happened to me installing the CP30. I had to put my weight into for it to go all the way down.
