My experience of travelling alone was enriching and at the same time disappointing. The habit of travelling with company makes it harder to be alone. The scenery was magnificent and my pace was definitely faster, especially with descents of over 70km per hour. But I felt very disappointed when I reached Chunchi after another 75 km with beautiful views and the fire brigade guys were not willing to help me, explaining that they do not accept cyclists, which was not true. I knew that a few days earlier our friends had slept there. These sometimes were the problems. Luckily, the owner of the hotel once she heard what had happened to me offered me a room discount and the next day I continued cycling reaching a beautiful place called the Devil’s Nose.
