Just picked up this BMC Kaius. Had a crux that I hated. So have been doing a bunch of searching and ended up with this beauty. 1st ride was yesterday with a road group and all I can say is wow. I put my 165mm cranks and 46t chainring bike is comfortable and fast. Lmk your thoughts and if you have a Kaius, I’d like to hear your experience.

Ps. Fit is scheduled and stem will be cut. Stack height is egregious lol

Congrats – used to have an SLR01 that I loved (just decommissioned, kept the frame, harvested parts for a ti quiver killer also with a 46t). Glad you put the stack height disclaimer on here to fend off all the comments I’m sure would be rampant otherwise haha. Would love to hear your thoughts on the kaius after you’ve had a chance to really get to know it. I had considered going that direction as well. Gorgeous bike! It looks like they used the SLR01 as a base for it, just by the shape of the frame. Not sure they did but I just mean it looks like it shares a lot of ‘dna’ with its road going sibling which is IMO one of the most comfortable, responsive, versatile performance oriented road frames out there. All that to say, I’d imagine a slightly more stable version with more tire clearance would be an absolute beast of a do-anything bike.
