About 4 months ago I built up this gravel bike off cheap parts from Aliexpress.
Since then, I have come to realise two things.
1. I am not a huge fan of gravel riding.
2. There are not many gravel routes near my area to begin with.
I have since been using this bike to commute to work and boy had it been a joy! The much more comfortable position on the bike compared to my road bike really helps.
I am however going to swap out the gravel tyres to slicker road bike tyres to quicken my 22km trip from home to work. Wanted to go for 32mm slicks for the speed and comfort, but found some 28mm road tyres on sale and decided to go with that for now.
A bit of a shame I ended up turning my gravel bike into a commuter bike, but also glad I could repurpose it and not let it go to waste. No regrets!
