Anyone have advice on getting used to a new, twice as long commute? Mine went from 8 miles one way to 15 miles one way. I’m thinking once a week I bike to work and then ride the train most of the way home. Then on the other day I go into the office, I bike to and from work. I’ve done that once so far and it was pretty tiring. It also ate up so much of my time. 75 min one way. I’m not sure how to balance things yet.
Also my backpack is quite snug in that pannier, not as loose as it looks in this photo. I clip it a few places too so that it won’t fall out. Curse my company for giving me a big ass laptop to transport lol

15 miles each way is just way too long….. At what point do you just start driving into work? For me, it’s probably around 10 miles/each way.

I do about 30 miles a day for work and i really just jumped into it. Went from not doing it at all to 5x a week. And its crazy but if you just dont think about it, your body will soon catch up to not having to think about it. You’ll just be… strong one day & you’re golden!
