I think this may be my front Chainring? I have a 2016 Diverge and just replace cassette, and chain, cleaned free hub, derailleur pulleys and front Cranks, chain ring and around BB. It’s now making that light crunchy/grind noise on a forceful down stroke of the pedals only when I’m riding the bike on either side, I pedaled one sided left and right – same noise on hard down pedal (I changed out shoes too to eliminate any cleat creak) – I’m mainly thinking I shouldn’t have jumped the gun to do this work and replaced the front chainring too. It sounds to me like it’s coming from the front, but I’m also an idiot who can’t be trusted

Oh – I should also add that it’s a 1x up front

Is the chain sitting on the narrow/wide teeth correctly? Is the chainring badly worn?

Going to throw a vote at the chainring.
You DO have the chain mounted correctly on the ring. Praxis (curse them) don’t have typical ‘Narrow-Wide’ rings but instead have Wave Tech which laterally offsets some teeth to try and achieve the same result with less material for weight savings.
It throws people but you do follow the diagram on the chainring as you have done.
Out of interest, do you know how far the old chain had worn?
You didn’t mess with the bottom bracket preload at all? Sounds similar to an over compressed bb. For shits n giggles give it a spin(chain in the gutter to isolate noises)and axial flex to see if any drag or popping sounds happen.
