  1. I just put the finishing touches on my new road bike! This bike was donated to a bike co-op near my house and I called dibs on it while I was in the shop working on a bike for my sister. It’s a titanium frame that was (supposedly) built here in Phoenix. Titus, mostly known for their mountain bikes, closed up shop in 2010, but their founder now runs [Pivot Cycles](http://www.pivotcycles.com/).

I put a slightly shorter stem and new, shallower drops on it for some increased comfort. I’m doing a Phoenix to Mexico charity ride next month on this bike (God-willing). The Brooks Cambium C15 has been really nice addition too. I’m going to hold off on any further upgrades for the next couple months to convince my wife that my bike spending is under control. 🙂

  2. When I see tires with color on the shelves I always initially think that is a silly idea and waste of money.

But it really is a nice touch on that bike, it works.

  3. Sweet bike OP! Can’t believe someone donated that to a coop but glad to see it went to a good home. Color matched tires work well with the handlebars.

Is that a steel, Al, or Ti fork? Pretty unusual to see an absence of carbon
