Hello,

I’m hoping to buy a new bike to ride more comfortable and a bit more efficiently. I’m reaching out for your help to understand the difference between the Endurace CF 7 DI2 and Koga Roqa Prestige I was able to test ride today.

Some background:
– 1m98/6’6, 98cm inseam and 2m03 arm span.
– Currently own a Triban RC 120, main shortcoming is that it’s too small and doesn’t feel very comfortable (perhaps as a result of the size). I’m using an extra large seat post but the entire position isn’t great.
– Ride 2/3x per week, I average around 30-34 km/h on the flat with the Triban bike.
– Where I’ll be riding: I started riding in Grenoble, close to the French Alps (beautiful), but will continue in Pittsburgh PA, USA. There are some light gravel trails there too, but I don’t expect to go on very harsh trails. It’s important the bike is robust though.
– Currently an issue with lower back pain starting at 20km. I would like to ride for 2 hours or more without back pain.

Now, today I test rode the Koga Roqa Prestige and loved it – it felt really comfortable! The main downside is that this bike doesn’t come in a size larger than XL, it still felt a bit too small (their website confirms). So here I am wanting to buy the Canyon CF 7 DI2, it looks like it should be quite a similar geometry and considerably better spec.

What other things should I look at to compare the feel of bikes on paper? I really wish I could compare these in-person. The other Endurace posts I’ve read all sound very positive, should I consider any other models? I tested some gravel bikes today but wasn’t in love..

I think the Koga is too expensive for what it provides. Looks like its mechanical 105 for 2,5k. Canyon offers better value for the coin
