France is building a 45 billion dollar railway around Paris. Called the Grand Paris Express, it will feature 4 new lines that will stretch over 200 kilometers and feature 68 new stations. With an average speed of 60 kilometers per hour, the network will unite the suburbs of Paris, better integrating the metro area, while serving 3 million passengers a day. The first phase is opening in 2024, with a planned completion in 2030.
