I recently bought some ‘titanium sporks’. The ones they sent were steel. Returns were supposed to be free but I had to pay to post to somewhere in the UK.
AliExpress then said I would not receive a refund after returning the goods and paying for postage.
I had to send photos. When doing so I was thinking how would my photo enable anyone to distinguish between polished steel and polished titanium.
I have had some items which were fine. However quality is very hit and miss. When something goes wrong they don’t want to deal with the return.

I would rather not buy parts that are really critical for safety while cycling off Aliexpress. Which is really pretty much all of them. This just confirms my belief.
The principal behind this is what do those “brands” have to lose selling shitty stuff? If they gather too many bad reviews (if there is even a review section on Aliexpress that can be trusted, which i highly doubt), then they just rename and keep selling their crap under a different name.

There will be products that are out of spec and defective from any manufacturer . I’ve bought many products from various sellers on AliExpress that are of quality and without issue . Obviously not everything from AliExpress will be problem free.

Usually on Taobao which is Aliexpress Chinese version and often the same seller, you can leave a bad review. Most of them afraid of bad reviews. If not then contact customer service, on Taobao.. they are quite effective.

Try finding a way to make the problem more obvious on the photo you send back. Possibly include a straight edge lying across the bevel.

As for the seller not accepting a return, that’s the easiest thing to take care of. File a dispute with your credit card company and let them handle it. With most credit cards, you can just file the dispute online so you don’t even have to call them. It takes 5 minutes. Your account will be credited instantly, and then the seller has to deal with the credit card company to prove they didn’t rip you off. Your pictures are the proof that they did, so don’t sweat it.
