After 50 years the iconic Raleigh Chopper bike returns to Australia.
Raleigh recreated an almost exact replica of the original MK2 Chopper from 1973.
The new Chopper was available in 2023 in limited numbers. We purchase a still in the box Chopper in the UK and ship it to Australia. We unbox and assemble it then take it to the city of Sydney to talk to Chopper fans.
Special thanks to members of the Facebook Raleigh Chopper Owners Club who helped with shipping information and finding the Chopper.

Great video. Glad you got it over there👍🏻 I’ve seen your posts on the forum, hope you’ve sorted the teething issues.
Out of interest do the new choppers slip a gear when cycling up hill so you crunch your nuts on the gear stick?
I really enjoyed this video, very well presented.
As a kid in Victoria in the mid-1970's I remember traveling with my family to my uncles dairy farm, and lying abandoned out in the weather under a giant cypress tree at the side of the property was a gold Chopper bike, my cousins being six or seven years older than me had seemingly grown out of using it.
Being a timid kid with no monetary income it didn't even enter my mind that maybe there might be a possibility that they might have been happy to sell it to me if I had of asked.
I had a Malvern Star Chopper as my first bike and was/is beautiful. the straight rear tubes made it so good.
Thank you for all the nostalgic memories of my young teen years on this bike. Did you call all the parts by their cool names. Banana seat, Sissy bar, Ape hanger handle bars and the T Shifter. Where are all the millions that were made in the 70's now ?
Gad to see it's true to the original tech, and not a sort modern 'homage'. Looks great!
Hi Greg great video and wonderful weather, I was in Sydney in 92 on way up to queensland, the bike looks stunning and got a great reception great stuff cheers 🍻
