needs expert disassembly, inspect for a shattered race?? or whatever has been broken by the impact. Google the brand for an exploded view.

Yes. DT hubs have press fit end caps. When you dropped it you just dislodged the pressure fit present when it was mounted to the bike and compressed.
When you mount it back up the compression from tightening the axle will cinch everything up.
