Close up pictures of a Shimano Ultegra crank was disassembling itself. There was white corrosion on several areas on the rear of the crank spider. Cracks were revealed after cleaning. It was is great cosmetic condition with no crank rub and barely any chainring wear. This was the 6800 11 speed model.

Shimano did a recall (or something similar) on these cranks for this issue, do a quick google and you should find out how to get them replaced (maybe)
