Hi all, I just got a bike and have already had an attempt to steal it from my patio even with 2 obvious cameras…
For now my bike is chain locked to a heavy piece of furniture on my patio. We live on the first floor of an urban apartment building and there is no metal railing to secure a lock too… however, I have ordered a vertical bike storage solution and was wondering any ways you would recommend securing it in this particular rack? I’m working with wood plank siding for the wall material on my patio and would be open to installing a bracket, etc.

It will get stolen eventually if left outside over night. If I were you and had to store it outside I would remove the seat post and both wheels every night and bring them inside, and then lock the frame outside with both a hiplock d1000 and litelok x3 to something secure like an electrical conduit pipe or gas line pipe so theif with be eletrocuted or explode if they try cut the pipe with grinder.
