Recently started biking to work (about 20 mins) and currently have a (borrowed) Cannondale f6 from 2008 mountain bike
Recently saw this for 40€ it has new tires, brakes and chain. It’s a 3×7 (unsure of the brand)
What do you guys think ? The tires seem to be pretty good and definitely have been changed to a more city/less mtb

Looks perfect tbh, I’d swap the pedals if they’re plastic but it’ll get u to and from work definitely, but there’s no mounting points so racks are out of the question. You could convert it to a 1x or replace the rear cassette and make it a 3×8, but that’s all personal preference. Looks good!

Looks fine to me. A bit weird that it has a v-brake in the back and a canti on the front. Also, you might need one of those seatpost rear racks if you want panniers.
Curious to know what you mean by a “project”. This bike looks very functional already.

I like to think that I have 35 percent of my weight on my hands: you can spend a year adjusting it because you may adjust it the wrong way, and take a while to realize it. Shocks in the front fork and seatpost are surprisingly good and inexpensive. In the US there is a “blue book” that prices used bikes (the title comes from a used car pricing book.)

Looks like the project part is done. Toss on a front rack and send it!

Get mudguards ASAP. Otherwise it’s okay. I would also add a rack and utilize bike sacks.
