You’re meant to use a pin spanner on it, it should be installed with loctite and snugged up.
The 54nm is for the 8mm hex behind it in the crank, not this.
This is self extraction cap on your DUB crankset.

The torque is meant for the 8mm bolt inside that ring. Get some Loctite 242 and cinch it down with a pin spanner. These fall off all the time.

I used a small Allen key to tighten it because I didn’t have the proper tool
I find these on trails more often than should be possible. It’s such a terrible design.
If you’re worried about it coming off again, I’d just put it with your tools or in a safe place because you WILL need this to remove the cranks.
