So I've had my super cal for about 12 months now. First 5 months was great but all of sudden the rear end started feeling really twitch, lose and like it gives out on cornering, constantly bottoming out even with maximum volume spacer and 15% sag, feels very unpredictable. It just doesn't feel right. Shock was also leaking a fair amount of oil.
Took it back for warranty and they sent the shock off to be rebuilt by fox or rockshox.
First ride and it feels exactly the same and is leaking oil again after 60 minutes.
I'm going to take it back and request a completely new shock not a rebuild.
I'm 81kg so don't really think it's a heavy rider thing. I've played around with lower and higher pressure and fast and slow rebound and the same issues persist.
Has anyone had this before?
Does the shock leak oil by design?
How does your shock feel?
Please note the photos are after I had wiped away the oil to check if it was oil or water from my bottle. There was much more originally.

Ive had my Supercaliber for about 1.25 years. Assuming yours is gen 2 with the Sid luxe shock, I’m not sure if that should be happening. I also have mine set to 15% sag and yet I struggle to bottom it out at all. There’s also no sign of oil leaking at all. I think it’s best you get that checked out at a shop soon.
Edit: my shock feels relatively stiff.
