Was riding on my trainer and heard a rubbing sound, realized it’s my pedal against my big gear shifter (don’t know the technical terms) any idea why this would have started? Best to just take it to a shop to have them look at it? Or something I can easily fix?

Screw in the high limit screw on the front derailleur until that doesn’t happen.
Make sure the derailleur hasn’t rotated and the cage is still parallel with the chainrings, if so loose the clamp and rotate until it is without changing the height
