Should my rear brake lever have this much circular movement? It has slightly more play than my front brake lever. My rear derailleur hanger broke and the brake line came loose, and the hanger was replaced by a bike shop.

It looks like you could probably tune your brake caliper to have a closer bite point. That way, your lever won’t have as much play in the brake lever axis. In my experience, this also helps a bit with what you’re describing as the shift mechanism’s “circular” movement.
Sorry, I mean to say my shifter cable came loose, not the brake line
It’s an old lever that has been used more than the front so it will have some play in it. Those shifters were not known for their tight machining to begin with. It’s not bad considering how old they are.
Looks great tbh. If it brakes and it shifts, then send it.
