Just received a bottom bracket for my bike but was damaged during shipping. Wanted to know if this is just cosmetic of would I have issues further down the line ?

That part doesn’t do anything so it looks like it’s just cosmetic.
If it works fine I would just use a file to take off the sharp edge.

Wouldn’t make any difference
I agree with the other posters that it is not a functional problem and will work for full bearing lifetime.
That said, I would run a file over that to dull/remove any sharp edges. That’s the kind of small area damage that will absolutely wack you open when you least expect it if your forget it’s there.
