    El Teide – cycling up to the peak with a fully packed bike!



    This Vlog episode starts with me, having a real hard time on the road.
    I felt drained, I was frustrated and my face looked like a wrinkled potato.
    I needed some rest.

    After recharging my batteries I was ready for my biggest challenge. Climbing the highest mountain of Spain – El Teide!
    Hop on, gear up and start pedaling!

      I have no doubt you will top that mountain and nor should you. If I may offer two suggestions, first diet and rest cannot be under-estimated. I once 'hit the wall' on a pretty modest leg of a modest cycle tour – it taught me that you need to feed your engine with protein and fat as well as carbs, because carbs don't last. Secondly get yourself a small wood stove, most will take a Trangia burner (alcohol is cheaper than gas) and if you have no fuel you always have fuel.

      Hast du ein Giant Content? Hab ein Defy und damit auch schon ein paar Bikepacking Trips gemacht, aber auch Rennen. Wenn es wieder was wärmer wird plane ich noch eine richtige Challenge. Nach Nizza runter ans Mittelmeer oder ähnliches.

      Cold coffee is good, but for very hot and summer days… when it's cold, it's a bad idea 🙃☕😊…
