I’m building up a flat bar gravel commuter. I have an old pair of xt brakes that I took off my mountain bike that I was going to use. However, the rear brake threaded into the frame on the mountain bike, and the gravel frame is set up to thread into the brakes. What adaptor do I need to put my xt brakes onto this frame?

Which specific model of XT brakes do you have?
Most mountain bikes use post mount brakes. The XT brakes you have are post mount. Your frame is flat mount. There are some adapters out there, so you could look into that. Otherwise, you’ll need flat mount calipers as another reply mentioned.
