For context, bought this bike recently off Facebook marketplace, unsure of frame make/ model. Previous owner had brakes with a busted spring so I got the odyssey springfields to replace (heard they were easy to install). Right off the bat I could not slide them onto my bikes post mounts. I removed the mounts and cleaned them up as best as I could with alcohol and steel wool, thinking that maybe old grime from previous use was creating friction. I still cannot get them to slide on all the way after reinstalling. Unsure if I need to purchase different posts with a smaller diameter? I thought they were pretty universal across U brakes. Photos for reference. Any insight would be appreciated.

No that should slide on and move freely
Make sure they aren’t upside down.
they’re 100% upside down.
Your breaks are upside down, also clear brake pads work better
No, you just got to put them on the right way
I had the same issue, i was putting them upside down too lmao
Where’d u get the yellow tires?
