I'm looking at purchasing a new gravel bike to get into touring and bike packing. Im trying to keep this budget under 1000. I have been using a flat bar trek fx with 37c tires but it's not a comfortable bike for the distances I've been putting down. Most of what I've been riding on is hard packed dirt and light gravel with paved road and the occasional rutted mountain bike trail. The idea of wide tires is appealing to me and that's why I'm looking at 650b bikes along with 700c.

  1. I also switched from flat handlebars to drop bars because long rides were feeling uncomfortable.

I think any of these bikes would be solid choices. I would look at the differences in attachment points, tire/fender clearance and drivetrain. Probably in that order.

  2. I own a 2024 Four Corners 2, and I’ll say that I’ve been really happy with the geometry of the bike. I’ve put about 700 miles on it in the last couple of months, perfectly comfortable even on single track mountain trails.
