I actually really love the simplicity of this. I don’t find myself needing to shift my chainrings often so the reach down would not be inconvenient. Thanks for posting this! I now know it exists!

This would be great for a two or three speed setup with an idler pulley at the rear to take up the slack. instead of a derailleur. Hmm…
