Decided last night that today would be the day. Traveling for the holidays so I’m not sure how many more outdoor riding days I’ll get as it gets significantly colder so I bit the bullet here.

Took a lot longer and was a lot colder than I was hoping for but we got her done.

Some highlights:

  • I saw a squirrel fall out of a tree, bounce off the pavement, then proceed to run away.

  • Saw some big ol elk

  • Didn’t get hit by a Ford F150 🙏

Got home about 30 min after sunset but luckily that portion was on a paved path and not a main road.

Anywho, looking forward to doing this again in the spring when it isn’t 35 degrees.

Impressive. A century is much more impressive in the winter than the summer. It just seems harder to maintain speed with all the clothing and the drag.
