RH 650bx48 Juniper ridge standard case As compared to my maxxis ramblers
I noticed an immediate change in the bikes personality after swapping out the ramblers. The juniper ridge tires are far more reactive, on pavement I noticed increased acceleration and general liveliness. On both gravel and pavement the bike felt MUCH more twitchy and less stable. Perhaps this is due to a lack of raised cornering knobs; in any case I did not feel that the tires lacked traction. Hopefully my confidence in their cornering abilities increases as a ride more. As for ride quality, there has not been a perseptable difference between the ramblers and RH's standard casing juniper ridge.

The twitchyness is just due to the lower mass and rolling resistance of the tires. You can lower tire pressures to make the bike feel more grounded and get back to railing corners — you’ll do it much faster now!
