I had my chain come off the front chainring and get jammed up so bad I needed to break it to get it unstuck. I replaced the pin as a temp fix and now am trying to replace it with a permanent repair link.
For the life I me I cannot tell which link it was. This one is my best guess. It’s the only link that sticks like that(it’s a new chain) and it looks like there is more torn metal around the pin than most. I sort of remember that it’s in the right place relative to the chain’s original quick link.
The uncertainty makes me just want to buy a whole new chain, but could this be right? Thank you, anyone.

Get a new chain with a quick link. That chain is starting to look a little messed up.

99% chance the stiff link is the one you pushed out and replaced – common to have a stiff link when replacing pin which is why master links are better than pins, even when using Shimano master pins
Replace it with a master link. Cheap reliable fix and if you still have issue sounds like you’ve already resigned yourself to getting a new chain anyway. No harm in trying repair first

I always keep 1-2 new chains in the parts cabinet
