In the video they showed people sticking their hand out in the direction they want to turn, and raising their right hand for stopping.
However I’ve learned that there’s another code that uses only your left hand, which is useful because it’s hard to see one’s right hand in countries that travel on the right side of the road, and vice versa.
The code is: you stick your left hand out to signal a left turn, up to signal a right turn, and down to signal a stop.

That is a trick in India too and it is a trick for every vehicle.
