The Litespeed is a ML frame with 105 group and Ultrega RD for $750. The Trek is a 58cm frame with full Tiagra group and built in Duotrap sensor for $600. I’m mainly looking to get more into road cycling and/or touring a bit, mainly for fitness. I currently ride a highly customized CroMo adventure bike, but it’s just incredibly heavy to do more than 30 or so miles on.

I am a sucker for a nice Ti bike, especially if the price is good
Litespeed
Litespeed. In 10 years that thing is still going to look sweeeeet. I’d trade my 2021 Domane S4 for one if it was my size .
Hurry up and get that Ti bike before someone else does, under 1k is a steal
100% litespeed . Have an 1996 eddy merckx titanium ax made by Litespeed . Ride it almost daily. Love it .
I ride a 2017 Ti road bike. I did upgrade from Red 11 speed mechanical to eTap, but otherwise it is the same. I have ridden it across a few countries in Europe and will take it there again. I can see riding this bike for decades and being in my 60s I enjoy the ride. (I did have it built with S&S couplers so it packs compactly for trips, but that had no effect on the ride.)
Ti all day.
Get the litespeed and upgrade the saddle and seatpost to AliExpress carbon and the inner tubes to RideNow tpu. It’ll be lighter than the giant and is otherwise a batter bike.
I would agree with the overall consensus even though I am typically a Trek Fanboy. The Ti frame with the better group set would be my decision as well.
Get the trek obviously….. Whoops, I misspelled Titanium. Def go with the litespeed.
As someone who’s owned a Merin titanium bike from 1999, I vote for the Litespeed. Even after all these years, that bike is just such a MACHINE!
No shade on Trek but that Domane is about as unexceptional and inoffensive as a road bike can get. You probably won’t hate it, but I have a hard time imagining you’d love it.
Litespeed all the way.
