I was told a while ago about a place called perfekt decal that remakes old ones. Maybe that will do it for ya.

I had a couple Mongoose through the years. I had a red one. The paint mostly fell off literally. The paint was red tinted clear coat. I would bring my bike into my bedroom and flakes of paint would get on everything. Good times. Oh ya edit the finish of the frame looked exactly like this after I got the coating off. Satiny.
