Chopped the end off an unused handlebar. Actually seems pretty secure. But might eventually have to create a gasket so it doesn’t wriggle loose.

Maybe add a little piece of rubber between the clamp/basket/bar to help keep it in position and reduce wear.
Would a bar end cap help keep it on?
I would wrap that handle bar with an old inner tube or something rubber to add vibrational stability and as knowledgeleech said to keep it in place. Pretty clever, nice work 👍
