So I found this sub a month ago when I doing some research for a recreational bike for myself. I was looking for something to build for my girlfriend and came across this when casually browsing marketplace. I took the two hour round trip to see it on faith and it panned out. Fully offered the asking price after I saw the bike immediately upon arrival. First pics are after I cleaned her up followed by the original post. Sometimes it pays off to dig through the chaff. It took some time dealing with Google translate but now I have this beauty.

Thats a beauty. The Suntour stuff will work well, but be aware of compatibility issues down the road if you want to replace or update the drivetrain components.

I didn’t appreciate hybrids when they came out. “It’s not a MTB, it’s not a road bike. What is it?” Now, I want one. It took riding one about ten feet to change my mind. Nice Trek!

My wife has had that same bike since I met her 24 years ago. I’ve had 9 bikes since then. Still have 5, but throughout it all I could never convince her to get anything else. Two years ago I rebuilt it with some better stuff. Still a darn fine bike.

  4. I have one of these. It’s a great bike. I have a lot of different flavors of bikes, but the 750 Multitrack is probably my favorite
