Not quite a NBD because I bought this bike very lightly used but very exciting nevertheless. I’ve had this bike just under a month. I’ve put about 200 miles on it despite getting it at the end of November and it basically being the start of winter.

Stuff I’ve done to it included swapping to the setback seat post, SMP saddle from my old bike, different stem, MTX brake pads, OMM rack and light mount and a giant Outer Shell bag for hauling stuff to work.

I’ve been riding road and dirt for 24 years and have had 12 bikes. This bike might just be the most fun thing I’ve ever ridden. I can feel the weight compared to my carbon road bike when climbing but this bike is still ridiculously fast on the road given its huge tires and its limits on gravel and dirt are very very high. Rock gardens and our ever present roots barely phase this bike. The geometry on this is ideally suited for me and it ends up handling so well. Long chain stays and shorter more aggressive front center is a huge eye opener for me with long legs and large setback. This bike is replacing a rim brake Space Horse I’ve had for 11 years. I’ve had a ton of fun with that bike but it’s absolutely amazing how far things have come.

  1. Fantastic stuff. I have my eye on the steel fork version of the Rambler. Seems like Wilde has really hit it out of the park with the frame design and i’m glad these are getting popular.
