I currently have a Checkpoint SL5 gen2 in the Smokey carbon. Have some frame issues with the decals removing themselves. Called trek and they want to swap my frame with the new checkpoint sl7 gen 3 in the bronze aged color shown in the picture. They want to swap over all my parts and will pay for it. Thoughts? Should I do this or fight for something else? Seems like a good deal to me, but also loved the Smokey carbon.

Glad I own a trek looks like they really want to help there customers out so if my alloy frame breaks I won’t worry too much

Definitely do it. I personally don’t like the purple but that’s an easy fix with some decals or even paint.
Is the frame cracked or anything or just the decal issue. This is my exact bike so I’m a little curious. I would assume newer gen frame has gotta be better so I would do it. I do love the smoky gray though so I don’t know if it’s only the decals I would keep the gen 2. Update us with whatever you decide.
