I’ve had a Nago Evo 40 saddle for six years now, although I haven’t ridden much during that time. This summer, I started using it for my indoor bike, specifically for Zwift. The saddle feels great, and it’s the most comfortable of the three I have (the others are Fizik Antares R1 and R3). However, its exterior has started to fade, similar to how a tire on a turbo trainer would wear out.
I ride my indoor bike quite a bit, about 15 hours a week. Given this usage, I’d like to know how long before I should consider replacing the saddle.

As with pretty much everything on a bike that spends a lot of its life on an indoor trainer, regular cleaning will go a long way. If the saddle is still comfortable, I wouldn’t worry about replacement unless its appearance really bothers you. If you want to prevent corrosion and damage to the saddle (metal rails, seatpost bracket, etc…), a post-ride wipe down with a cloth and some all-purpose cleaner should do the trick. And while you’re at it, do the same for your handlebars/bar tape/brake levers and anything else you’re sweating on.
Replace it when it stops being “the most comfortable of the three you own”
