  1. I have friends that live a couple blocks away from Porter Square. It's a lovely area. All of the nice shopping and restaurants along Mass Ave. are great and, once you get a couple of blocks away from Mass Ave., it's really quiet. Granted, it's super expensive, but if you have the money, it's a great place to live. I will, however, throw a bit of shade at Cambridge as any time the Red Line is down and I have to drive into Boston for work, I HATE Cambridge for making for making Route 2 so impassible between Arlington and Brookline. That's just my little vent. 🙂
