I have a feeling that Americans are really into the Roman Empire. While it's very interesting to me, knowing more about other empires and cultures would be similarily interesting to me.
Could it be that Americans draw some kind of similarity between their country and the roman empire and that makes them so interested?
the roman empire fell in 476 ad, byzantine pretenders need not apply
Fox News is 24/7 propaganda.
i like this conversation and Gregory does an excellent job on knowledge and explaining different perspectives on Rome
Anyone here in the chat not AI?
Wow
Уважаемый Лекс, огромная Вам благодарность, за то что делаете дубляж ваших удивительных бесед на русский язык. Для меня это очень важно и, надеюсь, таких как я много: )
Thank you for teaching me how to pronounce "Cannae"
Bros favorite word is “fascinating”
I take issue with his characterization of Alexander, and J Caesar. You can not explain Alex without Olympias. You can not explain J Caesar without the corruption of the elite and the consolidation of wealth and mass poverty.
I love waking up to random videos like this😂

Unfortunately it's all fraud now the new dark roman supposed to be law is illegal they made people members of the u s corporation or any country except new Zealand a corporate member they just didn't ask fraud n illegal namaste
Crazy things afoot in Syria indeed. Another moderate, secular Arab leader ousted. Another impending massacre of Christians. Israel somehow sitting pretty yet again (what with going into Golan).
Some incredible foreign policy over the last 20 years of deposing moderates and replacing them with Sunni Salafist hardliners- now from Haifa to Hormuz. From the Levant to the Gulf.
Очень хороший автоматический русский перевод.
3:15:53 New lead pipes vs. old worn out oxidized lead pipes….I'll take the new(er) lead pipes when the empire was young and growing. Certainly could have lowered the imperial IQ a few points but I don't think it's the reason for the downfall.
Lex, please give him a coaster
This is the best podcast I've ever heard. It's another great example of Lex allowing his guest to shine. Dr. Aldrete is a magnificent teacher. This was like a firehose of interesting facts that led me to subscribe to TGC for more lectures. Just the best!
Excellent interview. I am so fascinated by ancient Greece and Rome and this was full of interesting info.
