I was riding to work this morning as I have done many times. During a long climb, snap. Legs went full retard before taking a tumble. Its never happened to me before however these cranks are over 10 years old. Most likely there was hairline cracks in it. Anyway you might want to check your crank arms, its a long walk back home.

Damn dude! Too much power!
I want that frame! Who makes it? Where can I get one?
Amazing. Never seen that before although it’s been a fear of mine for a long time.
Damn! What cranks are/were those??
Could you post a picture of the broken faces so that we can figure out what type of fracture it was? First guess is it was a bad casting.
damn, that fuckin blows
OK well I here because of comment about twinpower which was a big disgusting
Curious what reels you purchase vrs a $400 to $500 twinpower,
To the point here… It’s a nice looking frame but putting money into fixing up is like buying a basic Walmart huffy or Kent and putting a couple hundred in parts
These were a garbage bike.
You can pick up a real nice cromo gt of similar look or one of several other old bikes for almost nothing and they would perform well.
Hair line cracks on aluminum cranks. I still have my broken set. Glad it was only a minor scrape, it’s very, very surprising.
The next big ‘too much powah’ issue for me was breaking my cheap-asa bottom bracket axel. You might want to check yours…
