Frank Henson was the father of cycling in Cincinnati. He dedicated his life to improving bicycle infrastructure and advocating for better laws to protect cyclists. I worked with him quite a bit on the 3' law in Ohio and numerous other projects while I was a board member and president of our local cycling club. We were only aquaintances through cycling, but I can't think of another person on this planet that I respect more than Frank. Last night, we had a memorial ride in his honor. Frank was 'Bicycle Santa' for many years before retiring and traveling around Central and South America. During our ride last night, city council proclaimed 12/14 as Bicycle Santa Day in Cincinnati. Crank on, Frank!

Did he die on a bike or from unrelated causes? Either way my condolences to the community, we need more like Frank!
