Made a few changes immediately and it’s been my commuter all week. It’s my first bike project like this and I’ve been having a lot of fun working on it and riding it.
New chain, new wheels, and tires, new saddle, new grips, new brake pads, and a couple lights to start her off

Roller brakes are so cool. The mid-to-late 80s were banner years for bicycle brake varieties. Roller brakes, U-brakes, cantilever, Delta brakes, and the Marinovative Cheap Tricks(the earliest v-brakes), IRD Rotary Brakes (half roller/half U)….I’m sure there’s ones I’m forgetting, but yeah.

I have a similar aged high sierra frame, but it didn’t come with the roller cams, so I’m probably going to be using some U brakes
