Picked up the 1994 Specialized Hard Rock Ultra (?). I call it the Ground Wasp now a days.
Tore it down and re-greased everything; put on some Planet Bike Cascadia 26″ fenders and a Wald 139 basket! I used an Origin8 Quill Stem Adapter, geared 36-16 in these pictures, but I have changed it to 42-16 more recently (playing with a 38-20 dingle speed pairing). The bars are Soma Dream Risers with some origin8 inner bar ends to give a hood position (amazing).
This was my first bike rebuild and I am stoked on it.
I might put a wide range 7 speed + some friction shifters on it for some longer trips.
