anyone recognize this BB? found on a 80-90s (date is a guess) mamachari style bike with shimano roller brake rear hub.
seems like some kind of octalink thing, the BB seems pretty grindy and I was thinking I'd just replace the BB and crank.
haven't had too much time to work with it (sitting at my bike coop) and there are wrench flats on non-drive side i'll investigate with, and possibly a cone and locknut thing also on the non-drive side, with the conenut tool size being larger than 17mm. i'll bring my only larger cone wrench to try next, 22mm.

i managed to take the lockring off on the drive side but i didn't see any splines to remove the BB from the shell with.
but wanted to ask if any old heads have come across this so i can identify it and possibly save myself some time.

  1. I’m pretty sure that’s an old Shimano Front Freewheel system

I’ve only ever worked on 1 of those, and it was a long time ago. Looks like the cups are just standard old adjustable cup, so lockring tool and 32mm wrench
