  1. Logo is for H Plus Son the go to brand for fixed gear rims though they don’t look in great condition. Speaking of this isn’t a fixed gear bike. The metal part on the left side of the hub is a coaster brake. Would explain why this has flat pedals as coaster brakes don’t work well with strap or clip in pedals. Coaster brake you pedal backwards to lock the rear wheel. Might be okay on a slow commuter bike in Holland that has a hand brake as well but coaster brakes aren’t great outside that. Durano Plus tyres are a good alternative to Gatorskins. Spokes don’t look like they’ve been laced right or well. Fork looks like it’s from a Kona bike and has mounts for cantilever brakes. Gran Compe are good hubs. And yeah the long bolts are for tensioning the chain.

  2. H+SON formation face rims. Very heavy and very durable. They don’t look too beat up but there is either some corrosion or dirt/ dust going on around the nipples. Also looks like the rear wheel has a coaster brake hub so I’d stay away from this thing!
