One of the screws holding in my kickstand appears to have snapped inside the frame. Is there anything I can do to get it out so that I can re attach the kickstand properly?
My go-to method here is to use a small rotary tool(Dremel with a cutting wheel) to grind a slot in the middle of the screw and use a flathead screwdriver to back it out. You’ll probably have to cut into the frame a bit around the screw but that shouldn’t matter.
Alternatively you could drill it out but drilling out steel within an aluminum piece can easily lead to damaging the surrounding aluminum. If were to go that route I’d get a left hand drill bit that may bite and unthread the screw if your lucky
There’s also easy outs but people have mixed luck with them, especially on small hardware
DPDisorder on
Drill it then try counter clockwise screw extractor.
