Bought for $55 (3rd pic), 1st iteration (pic 4) was a blast and I fell in love, but sadly fell out the back of a truck and ruined the factory fork and front wheel. 5th pic is the 2.0 refresh with a teenagers hard rock long travel fork w/ disk brake, ran it for a bit like that before finding better used components (living near Jackson hole has its perks; rich old people giving away beat up nice bikes). Only bought tires, pedals, and grips new, everything else is parts bin/co-op. All in I’d guess I spent no more than $150 and couldn’t be more satisfied. Learned a lot building and rebuilding it. Love this bike very happy with its final form (for now). Added some details shots at the end but I haven’t developed an eye for taking those yet.

No bike is ever finished, just abandoned.
They’ve become cliche but 90s specialized MTBs are beyond notable. I really like what you’ve done with this build!
Before Suspensionforkparts shut down, I bought new elastomers and rebuilt one of those Answer Manitou Pro X forks. Only 40mm of travel, but that’s enough for a commuter.
I’d probably go rigid or buy a more modern suspension fork. Those old ones were really not great
