You should get a harness for him and then put a 360 camera on it lol, then you’d have your own personal camera dog lol! (only if it didn’t impede the dog at all of course)

  2. Boston terriers are awesome. All dogs are awesome. Just not on mountain bike trails without leashes on.

  3. I love dogs, own two, both very athletic. Very selfish move bringing your dog biking. They don’t know any better and are always in the way.

Bostons are my favorite breed. All the cuteness of a frenchie or pug with the athleticism of a whippet

  5. Please keep your dog off the trail or on leash it at a minimum. Only takes one accident for your furry friend to be seriously injured by a 300 pound gorilla on a stupid bike.

The answer to the question “should I bring my dog to the trail?” is always, 100% of the time:

  7. Love to see it man! Seems like a really well behaved and trained pup!
Don’t let other people tell you how to live your life. Have fun, bike fast!

  8. I use to run my Australian shepherd mountain biking then two knee surgeries later i wish i never did it.

They’re unpredictable on the trails and they’ll run until they blow themselves up.

  9. Where is everyone riding that they have all these negative interactions with dogs?

Every dog I run into on the trail is fine. Old lady hikers are more unpredictable and more likely to jump in front of you.

My dog has good trail sense. My friends dogs have good trail sense. Our dogs are also E-collar trained adding another sense of control.

OP sweet video and rad dog.

  10. People in my area ride with their dogs off leash all the time. Sure, it’s cute. We’re all impressed by how well-behaved your dog is.

All I can say is that I’m not going to feel bad if I t-bone your pup some day. Sure, it’ll be sad to see it go. But I’ll be pissed if it causes me to crash and hurt myself and/or my bike.

  11. My local system has a trail named after the builder’s dog who he’d ride with often. I ride with my dog when the weather is cool and the park is mostly empty — weekday mornings. The ranger has only ever told me to be on the look out for wolves. Deer and electric motor bikes are a bigger hazard. I suppose most of these folks aren’t aware of the Iditarod or service dogs. It’s crazy.

  12. As a longtime MTBer this pisses me off. Unleashed dogs have no place on trails.

My local MTB club is also clear: no dogs (leashed or not) on group rides so I never bring mine. And there are very good reasons for that rule.
