It seems as though 2025 will be the year true lightweight climbing road bikes properly return. Over the past 12 months, a hoard of new super lightweight road bikes has hit the market, most notably, the sub six kilo Scott Addict RC. So, now that light weight road bikes are once again available with familiar mod cons such as electronic gears and hydraulic disc brakes, these feathery beasts are more usable than ever. In this video we have featured the best climbing bikes from the likes of Scott, Wilier, Bianchi, Specialized, Giant Factor and Canyon. Let us know, which would you like to take home?

really torn with o2 vam and ostro vam 2.0. anybody owns both or have tried both?
Giant always has the most value, but the Scott Addict is definitely up there.
But the best value upgrade is take Ozempic for a month and then keep your existing bike 😂
what makes a good climbing bike is Always the rider, period. !!
Glad the Aethos made the list. I live in Colorado and the Aethos is amazing both up and down!
Specialissima ❤
Since when did a diamond frame become a double diamond frame?
Isnt defy more climber than tcr
I recently got an S-Works Aethos with SRAM Red which I love. On sale at my LBS it was under £8k which still isn’t cheap for a bike, but a relative bargain. And it should suit my needs for years to come.
Where's Cube?
What about the Cube Litening? Its 7.1kg for £5,500 which is half the price of most bikes on this video? Is it really that bad of a bike???
It‘s Specialissima, not Specialissimo
I'd bet the Addict is so fragile. And there is absolutely no such thing as a drastic or huge improvement on a modern road bike. Improvement are only minimally at best, so any measured difference can be advertised as better..
Canyon
You missed the de Rosa settanta! ❤️
paid ad for bike companies that advertise on cycling weekly. #pathetic shill video
My go-to pick is the Wilier Verticale. Light weight , compliant handling, and that lime green frame finish.
How about the tarmac sl8. It’s an all around but with lightweight assets too. 😂
I can't wait for The Nero Show's take on your list.
Slap on 300-500g on those frames and you'll get an aero frame that will lose you a few seconds on the uphills and gain more than that on downhill and on flat. Unless you weigh 50 kg or have sub 5% body fat, "climbing" bikes/frames are a waste of money… and I like climbing!
The Giant TCR …its like mao zendong knew one day there was going to be a need for a quality bike for the masses….Enter the Giant TCR
Old 'dale aluminium caad rimbrake, superlight wheels.
Easily built to 6.8 kg.
Great handling.
What about Orbea Orca? Made in Spain, images on their website show the weight and its less than many here. Plus it's built for climbing….
orbea orca not on the list?
Rubbish
What do people who own a 12000$ bike do when they get a noticeable scratch on their bike?
i may not have the s-works aethos but glad my aug 2021 Aethos is still making the cut in dec 2024…
