Wow, this couple… had a lot of I and me and my and she didn't have a wish but a demand list. This was somewhat painful to watch and I mostly did for Alistair.
I can sure see how Britain made a mess of themselves with Brexit. I’ve never been so frustrated by how many s-ist and r-ist remarks are in this thread. So unseemly.
Love the couple- as set as she was on what she liked, she was also open to change! And Alistair is delightful.

I'm from Colombia which is fairy similar to Brazil, I've been to Brazil as well, and we have extremely similar architecture; so when she mentioned what she expected from a house, I understood what she meant because I felt the same way coming to the UK the first time; however, I've learned to love the difference and now I really like the quirkiness and different rooms of England houses, it's very charming and cozy and it works perfectly for the weather. I especially like the architecture of Scotland.
Ignoring the brief pretty much means this program was an exercise in futility. Nothing fulfills the dream of their perfect house.
I wonder what the prices are now in 2024. Are there new episodes? Wish I could move to the UK , it is so beautiful!

The first place would work well. If you're worried about what the kids are doing while you're in the kitchen, then put a TV in that dining area, and they'd be right there with you. Or have them sit at the table doing homework or art work while you cook. They can do something besides sit in the living room to watch tv, can't they?

Seems she is on a mission that she forgot to tell her husband. I hope they figure this out or if he bends he won't be happy. If she doesn"t compromise no one will be happy. Alistair's charm and diplomacy is getting a test on this episode.
