Brought this old girl, my first “good” bike, back from the dead!

I was 22 years old, with a new baby and poor as hell… saved for months to finally get a Specialized. Growing up in rural Mississippi, this was a big deal for me. I’m 44 now, and I have many more “nice” bikes, but this one keeps drawing me back in.

I grabbed some grips and pedals for $35 when RaceFace ran their Black Friday sale… some $25 31.8 120mm risers from amazon, and a $30 used Trucstiv is of low crankset and BB from the bike shop/beer pub down the way and I’m on my way banging around the streets of Kansas City Missouri!

I’ve got the biggest, dumbest, grin on my face!
